SENSAS : Selective synthesis advancements in SWCNTs

After years of research, new high-end applications of SWCNTs are emerging, often developed jointly between academic labs and industrial partners. Examples include SWCNT-based MOSFETs (TSMC), CNT-RAM non-volatile memories (Fujitsu), dense Nanotube mats for fuel cell electrodes (NAWA Technologies)...

In this context, the aim of the SENSAS meeting is to gather groups working on understanding and realizing the selective synthesis of SWCNTs, from both theoretical and experimental perspectives, focusing on their characterization, especially their chiral purity, and the resulting new applications. The goal is to summerize our achievements and deepen our understanding of the key points and mechanisms involved in the selective synthesis.

This discussion will take place in Lyon from Monday, June 10th starting at 14:00, until Tuesday, June 11th at 17:30, divided into the following four sessions:

  • Selective growth of SWCNTs: Experimental insights
  • Characterization of chiral structure distribution
  • Modeling of growth processes
  • Potential applications

Each session will begin with a state-of-the-art presentation, followed by contributory talks and discussions.

The aim of the meeting is to foster open discussions. If you wish to present new results or raise questions for discussion, please submit a short abstract/question before May 31, 2024 in the submission form.

A diner is planned at the restaurant Le Simple Goût des Choses on the10th with a unique menu at 33 euros(without drink) at the cost of each participant.

REGISTRATION IS FREE BUT MANDATORY BEFORE THE 3 TH OF JUNE
